About Rev. Cynthia Shelby 

I am a believer in Jesus Christ who has dedicated my life to learning, growing and living through scriptures. I have served as Youth Leader, Pre-Marital Counselor and a Life Group Leader under the leadership of Senior Pastor Donald Adkins at Family Worship Center Church in Lexington, KY. My love for praying for others led me to join the Altar Ministry 30 years ago. My husband (Rev. Stanett Shelby Sr) and I are currently Associated Pastors and have a heart for Family Life as we equip other leaders for Christian ministry. Recently, the Lord transitioned my heart from Altar Ministry to build and establish my own passion, Perceive Ministries.

I founded the Guiltfree Women’s Bible Studies in 2012. My vision for teaching women began as a “stirring” to connect with other women according to Titus 2 mandate. Ten years ago, the book-study styled life group formed in my home and transitioned into a Bible study group in the community, which ministered to women throughout the Kentucky, Ohio, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania area. While establishing, Perceive Ministries, I’ve hosted a multigenerational Prayer Summit, Woman Of Ministry Birthed (W.O.M.B) Leadership trainings, strategic prayer calls, corporate prayer and fasting initiatives, online inspirational devotionals. Currently, I am creating initiatives to equip leaders, bring balance to marketplace/ ministry callings, motivational speaking and hosting a Behold Leadership Conferences.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism/Advertising and a Master’s (M. ED.) in Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky. I obtained a Principal’s Licensure for grades K-12 in the state of Kentucky and have been a public school educator for the last 21 years. In addition, I have completed two years of study through Word of Faith Bible School influenced by Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I have been married to my husband, Rev. Stanett Shelby Sr., for twenty-seven years. We have been blessed with two beautiful children Stanett Jr. (20 yrs. old) and Sydney (17 yrs. old) and we reside in the Bluegrass State of Lexington, Kentucky.
